I've been in the tattoo and body art community for decades, and co-hosted the National Tattoo Convention some 20 years ago with my late wife (who was the centerfold in the first issue of TATTOO magazine). I have a passion for life, and my normal state is one of enthusiasm for doing the things I love. I've managed to always trick people into paying me to do my hobbies professionally, working more than 20 years as an artist in the comic book field on many of America's most-popular superheroes before reinventing myself as a broadcasting historian/author and most recently as the editor-publisher of classic American pulp fiction. Dogs are also a big part of my life; I was a longtime breeder and owner of champions and also a field trial judge
