I like to read, especially if what I'm reading involves scientific and/or philosophical subjects (i.e. Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, etc.) Are those nerdy subjects?...maybe. Fun to read?...definitely!! It's not that I have anything against fiction, I just happen to be more of an Apollonian rather than Dionysian kinda guy.
