Je me décrirais comme I am currently in school working toward my psychology degree, though I'm feeling a tug toward something closer to science. I also work a day job for a non-profit and enjoy helping people. My passion, however, is writing. I have 17 books in publication, and more on the way. It's a large and extremely important part of my life–much more than a hobby. I love quiet time to daydream and write, but need a balance of interaction with others. I'm affectionate and loving, loyal and all of my best qualities really come out when I'm around the right people. I have particular fashion interests (many Victorian based), so I make a lot of my own clothing, and also costumes for when I attend conventions to speak on panels. I enjoy a variety of movies, though the more surreal and colorful ones (think Guillermo del Toro) are among my favorites. I am way behind in tv shows because work, school and writing take up a lot of my time. Despite being very busy, I can always find time for other people. I listen to a wide range of music, though ambient styles like Enigma, Emancipator, Gregorian Chants, etc are best for writing.

Un premier rendez-vous idéal, ce serait Coffee, lunch or dinner. Somewhere quiet so we can hear each other talk. It doesn't have to be fancy, but a few steps up from fast food.

Mon idée du fun Hanging out with a partner and/or friends where there is food around and we can talk and laugh. Going somewhere or seeing something that we can talk about afterward.

Que recherchez-vous? Cleverness and wit in conversation, open and consistent communication. Compassion toward others and a love of animals. Thoughtfulness, respect, honesty. Flirtatiousness and sensuousness. Lots of humor and dark humor (not gross) is great. Someone who is physically and emotionally healthy; always working on himself but doesn't have to be perfect or a star athlete. Someone who inspires me to be my best and gets the same from being with me. Someone who has a passion for something (preferably in the arts) as great as I have for writing, and is okay with balancing Us time with doing his own thing so I can do my own thing (which would be writing). Someone willing to attend sci-fi/fantasy cons with me now and then when I go to speak on panels, and is supportive of that part of my life. Someone who can keep up with me in all respects.
